Caryn has 5 years of experience working in various different hospitals in and around South Africa. Her main area of interest is paediatric cardiopulmonary physiotherapy, including the acute management of paediatric patients post-surgery, injury, or major illness. She has also treated many children with neurodevelopmental delay. Caryn began her career in Durban at a small rural hospital. There she treated primarily patients in the NICU and general paediatric ward. She and her team also ran Cerebral Palsy clinics at the hospital and travelled extensively around the area to various rural clinics providing therapy and caregiver training. She then moved to a large quaternary Hospital called Inkosi Albert Luthuli hospital, where she worked in the NICU, CICU, PICU and Burns unit. The largest portion of her career was spent at a private hospital In Cape Town. Here she treated predominantly pulmonary conditions and post op patients, including GIT, renal, and orthopaedic surgeries.

Dr. Ibrahim Tabash is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada, who with time developed a unique Orthopaedic Surgery Practice that specializes and attracts a rather variety of complex orthopaedic cases.

At a sub-specialty level of care, Dr. Tabash managed to cover cases with simple and complex Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery, Spinal Deformities/Disorders (Pediatrics and Adult), Lower Extremity Reconstruction and Lengthening as well as Lower Extremity Arthroplasty (Hip & Knees). This is accomplished with a belief that Orthopaedics is a multifaceted hospital-based practice and to achieve a high level of care, the entire cycle must be cohesive and up to standards.

As the Chief Executive Officer and owner, Dr. Tabsh developed a state-of-the-art and an evidence-based polyclinic, CureMed Tabsh Medical Centers, in the city of Al-Khobar. CureMed has several core centers but the main one is a comprehensive and highly specialized musculoskeletal center, MSK, that includes (serving adult and pediatric populations): Orthopaedic Surgery, Rheumatology, Pain Management, Rehabilitation Services (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, Physiatry, Chiropractic and related supportive services), Orthotics and Prosthetics Service, Radiology and other specialty clinics that serves the comprehensive MSK Care at CureMed. The soft opening was held in October 2015.

Also, previously held the position as Director and Chief of the Orthopedics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services at Saad Specialist Hospital, a multi-accredited 500 bed hospital, dealing with primary, secondary and tertiary care. The services included several other Orthopaedic Consultants, Associate Consultants, Specialists, House Physicians, Clinic Coordinators, as well as a complete Orthopaedic-Service-Line of Inpatient and Outpatient Nursing Services; a Patient Educator and as part of the Rehabilitation Staff team, a Consultant Physiatrist and a Specialist Physiatrist.

Dr. Tabsh was a program Director for the ATLS courses and program Director of the SSH Saudi Board Program. An active Faculty Member of the AOSpine Regional and International Courses and at one time as a Regional Editor of EBSS (AOSpine Publishing). He was an elected board member of the Saudi Orthopedic Association and Chairman of the Eastern Province Orthopedic Chapter, which is made up of Orthopedic Consultants and Specialists from over 25 hospitals in the Eastern Province.

He has specific surgical interests in DDH and neuromuscular surgery (single event multi-level surgery in cerebral palsy), treatment of long bone deformity and length discrepancy using both internal and external devices, pediatric foot and ankle surgery.

Dr. Ibrahim brings more than 15 years’ experience obtained in United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. Dr. Zaid Al-Aubaidi has been practicing medicine since 1993, after graduating from Baghdad University. He moved to Denmark in 1998 and after passing the Danish qualification exam he started to practice medicine. He achieved the Danish Royal Board in Orthopaedic and Trauma in 2007 and had one year fellowship in paediatric orthopedics. Since 2009; he had a position at the Odense university hospital as a consultant paediatric orthopaedic surgeon. At the same time, he was enjoying an academic position as an associate professor at the University of Southern Denmark. Dr. Al-Aubaidi had active overseas activities. He was 3 times in Western Africa in a charity program. Besides, he had been active in organizing trips as visiting consultant to Switzerland, Germany, China and Iraq. During 2011, He had a fellowship at the Sick Kids hospital/ Toronto, with the focus on complex spine deformities. Then he returned to his position at the Odense University hospital of Southern Denmark. He is capable of treating wide range of paediatric conditions as: paediatric spine deformity, cerebral palsy multilevel surgery, paediatric hip treatment, paediatric foot deformity, Limb deformity correction. Research wise, he has more than 23 published papers. He is the Editor of “In Tech” book of Orthopaedics and wrote the orthopaedic chapter of the Danish Medical book: Sygdomslaere for Sunhedsprofessionelle. Besides he is reviewer for: Ugeskrift for laeger (Danish Medical Bulletin), DOS (Danish Orthopaedic Society), Journal of Paediatric Orthopaedics B, Journal of Children Orthopaedics (EPOS) and Journal of Orthopaedic Case Reports (JOCR).
