Dr. Ashok N. Johari is a Paediatric Orthopaedic and Spine Surgeon based in Mumbai.

Dr. Johari was President of the Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of India, the Indian Orthopaedic Association, the Indian Academy of Cerebral Palsy and the Asia Pacific Knee Society. He is currently the Vice President for SICOT and also the Chairman of its Education Council. Dr. Johari is the President Elect of the Asia Pacific Paediatric Orthopaedic Society (APPOS) and Asia Pacific Infection Society (APIS).

Dr Johari is Editor in Chief of the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics (B) and is Chief Editor for the series on 'Current Progress in Orthopaedics'.

Dr. Ayman Hussain Jawadi is the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs of the College of Applied Medical Sciences (CAMS), King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS). He has an academic title of Associate Professor for KSAU-HS and is a medical tutor with the College of Medicine, KSAU-HS. He is likewise a Pediatric Orthopaedic Consultant with the Department of Surgery, King Abdulaziz Medical City (KAMC) and the Director for Riyadh Orthopaedic Residency Training Program. He holds various positions as chairman and member of the different committees in both his KSAU-HS and KAMC careers.

Dr. Jawadi oversees all matters relating to clinical organization, serving as chief liaison among the clinical faculty and the dean’s office. He also collaborates with the other associate deans to promote and advance clinical research and clinical excellence. He works collaboratively with the Program Chairmen as well as the Internship Coordinators in the process to meet the Internship Program’s goals. Likewise, he also plays an integral role in the mentoring, consultation, monitoring, and creating opportunities to the College’s Teaching Assistants (TAs) who were already sent abroad for scholarship studies as well as those TAs who are still in the process of seeking prospective grants abroad. Aside from these responsibilities, he is also responsible in managing the credentialing of the College’s competent academic staff.

As part of the academe, it encompasses his fulfillment in mentoring the students and interns and the constant challenges in molding the personification of their aspirations. His persona as a medical practitioner is that of an individual who is immensely satisfied from knowing that he has made a difference in the lives of a lot of individuals and enjoying the intellectual and emotional rewards his medical career provides.

Dr. Savvidou earned her medical degree from University of Athens followed by Orthopedic Surgery residency at the 2nd Orthopedic Department University of Athens. She completed a fellowship in Hand Surgery at Tampere University in Finland, as well as a fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at the Christine M, Kleinert Institute, University of Louisville in Kentucky, US. She served as a Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon in Cyprus and USA. Currently she is working in Medcare Orthopaedics and Spine Hospital in Dubai. Her special interests include upper extremity trauma, microsurgical reconstruction and congenital hand anomalies.

Dr. Jason Howard (MD) is the Division Chief of Orthopedic Surgery and Interim Chief of Rehabilitation Medicine at Sidra Medical and Research Center. He is a pediatric orthopedic and spine surgeon specializing in the treatment of spinal deformity (e.g. scoliosis), neuromuscular disorders (e.g. cerebral palsy), pediatric trauma, and general pediatric orthopedic conditions. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at the University of Calgary (Calgary, Canada) and holds clinical fellowships in pediatric orthopedics (Melbourne, Australia) and pediatric spine (Auckland, New Zealand). He was also the Japanese Pediatric Orthopedic Association’s 2004 International Traveling Fellow.

Dr. Howard has specific surgical interests in neuromuscular and idiopathic scoliosis surgery (including early-onset scoliosis), single event multi-level surgery for gait correction and hip reconstruction in cerebral palsy, treatment of long bone deformities in osteogenesis imperfecta, and innovative techniques for upper and lower extremity fracture management.

He has held several academic medicine positions in the past including Assistant Professorships in the Faculties of Medicine at both Dalhousie University/IWK Health Centre (Halifax, Canada) and the University of Calgary/Alberta Children’s Hospital (Calgary, Canada). He has been extremely active in residency and medical school teaching within these institutions and currently with Weill Cornell Medical College-Qatar. He was also the former Clinical Director for the C.H. Riddell Movement Assessment Centre at the Alberta Children’s Hospital where he helped develop the Centre into a world-class clinical gait laboratory. Dr. Howard also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and recently finished a graduate program in Biodesign through the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at Stanford University (San Jose, CA, USA) with a focus on the development and commercialization of new medical technologies.

He is a member of numerous clinical associations including the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America, the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine, the Canadian Pediatric Spinal Deformity Study Group, the Canadian Spine Society, and the Canadian Orthopedic Association.

Dr. Marc Sinclair graduated in medicine from the University of Tuebingen, Germany. He completed his orthopaedic residency in Germany and Switzerland, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA. After returning to Germany he was appointed as Deputy Chief at the Department of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at the Altona Children’s Hospital, University of Hamburg.

In 2006 Dr. Marc moved to Dubai where he has continued to practice as a Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon where he holds surgical privileges at the American and Medcare Hospital in Dubai.

Dr. Marc offers both surgical and non-surgical treatments for a wide range of bone and joint conditions in children. His clinical interests include children with musculoskeletal deficiencies including congenital and acquired limb deformities and deformities to the spine. He also has particular expertise in the treatment of clubfeet using the Ponseti method, on which he has lectured in many countries worldwide. Other areas of expertise include spinal deformities such as scoliosis as well as congenital conditions of the hip and neuromuscular conditions.

Dr. Marc is a member of the European Pediatric Orthopaedic Society (EPOS), AO Spine Middle East and a member of the medical advisory board to the Ponseti International Association. He is author and co-author of numerous publications in peer reviewed journals and a regular speaker at international meetings worldwide. Dr. Marc is enrolled in the Visiting Professor programme in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he regularly performs surgeries within his specialty.

Dr Ibrahim has also completed mini-fellowships at the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Centre for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopedics (Kurgan, Russia) and Paley Advanced Limb Lengthening Institute (West Palm Beach, USA). Dr. Zaid Al-Aubaidi has been practicing medicine since 1993, after graduating from Baghdad University. He moved to Denmark in 1998 and after passing the Danish qualification exam he started to practice medicine. He achieved the Danish Royal Board in Orthopaedic and Trauma in 2007 and had one year fellowship in paediatric orthopedics. Since 2009; he had a position at the Odense university hospital as a consultant paediatric orthopaedic surgeon. At the same time, he was enjoying an academic position as an associate professor at the University of Southern Denmark. Dr. Al-Aubaidi had active overseas activities. He was 3 times in Western Africa in a charity program. Besides, he had been active in organizing trips as visiting consultant to Switzerland, Germany, China and Iraq. During 2011, He had a fellowship at the Sick Kids hospital/ Toronto, with the focus on complex spine deformities. Then he returned to his position at the Odense University hospital of Southern Denmark. He is capable of treating wide range of paediatric conditions as: paediatric spine deformity, cerebral palsy multilevel surgery, paediatric hip treatment, paediatric foot deformity, Limb deformity correction. Research wise, he has more than 23 published papers. He is the Editor of “In Tech” book of Orthopaedics and wrote the orthopaedic chapter of the Danish Medical book: Sygdomslaere for Sunhedsprofessionelle. Besides he is reviewer for: Ugeskrift for laeger (Danish Medical Bulletin), DOS (Danish Orthopaedic Society), Journal of Paediatric Orthopaedics B, Journal of Children Orthopaedics (EPOS) and Journal of Orthopaedic Case Reports (JOCR).
